Houston CaribFest along with Dexter, Mel & Rambo come together for the Millennium Basketball Academy

Houston Caribfest was proud to present the students from the Millennium Basketball Academy from Trinidad and Tobago the sports equipment required to participate in a week long tournament in Houston. The students of the Academy were invited by the Houston Rockets to participate in a week long tournament. Communty Leader Dexter was instrumental in coordinating the students stay and transportation while in Houston. He was also instrumental in gathering other community leaders such as Houston Caribfest to supply the students equipment; and Mel and Rambo to ensure the students were provided transportation and accomodations while in Houston. Several students have obtained basketball scholarships to US schools from their participation in the Academy. The pictures shown were from one of the activities Dexter hosted to introduce the students to the community while they were in Houston. We are proud of our kids!!!
